The Offices of
SEO, SEM, & SMM
A beautiful website isn’t valuable if it doesn’t get seen by prospects. And it won’t get seen if it doesn’t rank on the first three pages of search results. We optimize our clients’ websites to rank highly on Google using combinations of SEO, SEM, and SMM because we believe that websites that don’t get seen by prospects don’t provide a return on investment.
Your business is unique, as are your marketing objectives, and that is why we tailor our marketing efforts to suit your individual needs and goals. We work with our clients to understand their target audience, and devise a strategy that will provide for the greatest return on investment. We pride ourselves on effective and efficient use of our clients’ marketing dollars and we’ll never recommend a service or strategy that we feel is superfluous.
Here’s what we can do:
Ranking a site means studying the market and the competition. We evaluate desired keywords (and synonyms) and compare them against search volume to determine what words the target audiences use to describe your offering. We also reverse engineer competitors’ programs to figure out the best way to outrank them.
Once research is complete, work begins on your website. Every page needs to be marked up with proper heading structure and keyword-rich titles. Duplicate content needs to be found and removed. Images need to be compressed and described. And keyword saturation, back links, and more, all require fine tuning.
Your website itself is only one third of the equation. Another third happens offsite by creating and delivering XML sitemaps to search engines, getting listed by services like G+, Yelp, and Manta. We also make sure your citations in Google My Business, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Yahoo Business, and more are all up to date and accurate.
Search Engine Marketing
Given that ranking can take some time to achieve, SEM is often used as a supplemental measure to achieve immediate ROI for our clients. When utilizing a paid ad strategy, we perform all necessary research and monitoring to ensure that the ad is reaching your target audience, and that it is running optimally so as to achieve the best possible pay per click rate.
Search Engines care about one thing: providing the best experience to their customers. That makes your site their product. If your site isn’t up to snuff, it’s not going to rank. That’s why TCO makes sure your site is optimized for speed, never contains any broken links or structural errors, and is optimized to convert. And we check regularly as part of our Wellness plan.
Social Media networks make for excellent distribution channels. But what gets distributed needs to be carefully planned so that its supporting your larger SEO strategy. Generally we recommend writing at least one monthly blog with carefully chosen content topics to be syndicated across all social media networks, in addition to sharing industry-relevant content more often.
When we first met Ted Powaleny, owner of Beach Donuts, he was under the impression that his one-man operation could never compete with the likes of Dunkin’ Donuts®, a national chain with a 7-figure marketing budget. He was wrong.
Just one month after accepting our proposal, Beach Donuts was already seeing incredible results. Not only is Beach crushing Dunkin’ Donuts® for the primary keyword, “donuts”, but they’re also ranking well for “coffee shop”, “bakery” and several more.
More importantly, sales are up 28% as a result of the improved visibility in search results.
